The INOUMI mug is wheel thrown in small batches by a skilled potters in Kent, using traditional craftsmanship rather than factory production. Every mug is individually shaped, trimmed and hallmarked by hand, creating subtle variations in glaze movement, iron speckle and tone that make each piece completely unique.

The exterior is finished in a soft satin, food safe glaze for a refined, tactile feel, while the interior is glossed for durability and easy cleaning. Only mugs with smooth rims, balanced weight and a comfortable hold are carefully inspected before being INOUMI stamped.

Designed for both hot and iced drinks, the stoneware mug retains warmth for slower, more enjoyable sips and can be gently pre-heated with warm water before pouring. You can prepare your blend separately or whisk directly into your mug using a bamboo chasen or electric whisk.

Dishwasher and microwave safe, though hand washing will help preserve the satin finish over time.

Stoneware vitrified above 1,200 °C is non-porous and dishwasher safe. Handwashing preserves the satin glaze, but daily machine cycles are fine.
